12 July 2021 – Stephen Fietta QC spoke at an event hosted by the National Institute for South China Sea Studies to mark the fifth anniversary of the South China Sea award. Stephen provided a critical overview of the UNCLOS Tribunal’s acceptance of jurisdiction over aspects of the dispute. The event included speakers from China, the ASEAN region, Europe and North America.

In it, Laura covers the topics of UK-EU investment protection pre- and post-Brexit, and UK-EU dispute resolution under the Withdrawal Agreement and the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement. 23 June 2020 – Laura Rees-Evans of Fietta LLP and Lucas Bastin of Essex Court Chambers moderated a webinar, co-organised by YPILG and Arnold & Porter, on Public International Law in the UK, post-Brexit. Presented by “new voices” in PIL (Maria Fogdestam-Agius, Jackie McArthur, Bart Wasiak, Joel Dahlquist and Elizabeth Chan), this webinar explored a wide range of perspectives on the topic of PIL in the UK, post-Brexit.
